CS Lateral Vein Introducers
SafeSheath® Worley
Telescopic Braided Series of
Lateral Vein Introducers (LVI)
Braided, uniquely shaped, high-torque, 7 French sliceable introducer system with radio opaque tip for sub-selective access during LV lead placement.
Cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) requires accurate pacing lead delivery to specific postero-lateral epicardial LV pacing sites via the coronary sinus. Most telescoping systems allow for delivery of a wire to the target site, but don't permit over-the-wire placement of the lead itself. As a result, the inner catheter must be removed before lead placement.
The 7F SafeSheath® Worley Telescopic Series of lateral vein introducers (LVI) allows the lead to be advanced over the wire and through the LVI, providing the external support necessary for succesful lead placement.
Together with the 9F SafeSheath CSG Worley, the CSG/LVI combination provides many advantages, including sub-selective lateral vein access, greater support during LV lead placement and cutting, and continued CS access after guide removal.
In addition, braided construction improves torque control and stability. When combined with the custom-designed compound curves of the LVI's distal tip, the telescoped guide is easily directed into the plane of the lateral vein. And, the LVI's unique break-away valve means no more cutting through a thick plastic hub, making slicing the guide easier and safer, reducing the risk of dislodgment.
Take the lead during cardiac resync thereapy and eliminate the need for “double handling” during lead placement.
