The Pacing Lead Stabilizer (PLS) was designed to aid in the removal of a splittable introducer, such as SafeSheath or SafeSheath CSG, after placing a pacemaker lead or catheter.
After lead placement and threshold testing has been completed, the Pacing Lead Stabilizer is used to assist in sheath removal. When the valve has been manually split, securing the lead with the PLS in one hand allows for retraction of the scored sheath from the vein with the other hand, splitting the sheath in the process. The need for an assistant or inadvertent lead dislodgement is minimized.
